Terms of Service

By accessing or using PerfectCV, you confirm that you can form a binding contract and that you accept these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use PerfectCV.

PerfectCV is a software service that helps you create, import, edit, tailor, and export CVs, cover letters, and related job-application materials. Features may include templates, PDF export, job-posting analysis, and AI-assisted writing. We may also offer a creator affiliate program. Features available to you depend on your plan and may change as we improve the Service.

You may need an account to access certain features. You are responsible for providing accurate registration information, keeping your login credentials confidential, and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may refuse, reclaim, or limit usernames or affiliate codes that are misleading, infringing, or reserved.

PerfectCV offers a free tier and paid packs. The Free plan lets you build and preview CVs with limited export and AI features. Paid plans currently include Starter and Pro as one-time credit packs. Paid features, credit amounts, and template access are described at checkout and on our pricing page. We may change plan contents for future purchases; changes do not retroactively remove credits you already paid for, except as required to operate, secure, or legally provide the Service.

Paid plans are currently sold as one-time purchases, not auto-renewing subscriptions. Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. PerfectCV does not store full payment card details. If we later offer subscriptions or recurring billing, the checkout flow will disclose the price, billing interval, and renewal terms before you purchase, and those purchases will also be processed by our payment provider.

Taxes, currency conversion, and provider fees may apply. A purchase is complete only after the payment provider confirms a successful transaction. Until then, paid features may remain locked.

You may stop using PerfectCV at any time. Because paid plans are one-time credit packs rather than subscriptions, there is no recurring charge to cancel. Unused credits are not automatically converted to cash.

Fees are generally non-refundable once a payment has been confirmed, except where required by applicable law or where we agree in writing. If a refund is issued, it will be processed through the original payment provider. Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in suspension of paid access while we review the claim.

PerfectCV uses artificial intelligence to assist users in creating and improving their resumes and related content. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before using, sharing, or submitting it to potential employers. PerfectCV does not guarantee that AI-generated content will result in employment or accurately represent a user's qualifications.

You should not rely on AI output as a substitute for your own judgment. You remain solely responsible for the truthfulness, completeness, and legality of any CV, cover letter, or other material you export or submit.

You agree to use PerfectCV only for lawful purposes and to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You must not upload content you do not have the right to use, impersonate others, or attempt to obtain paid features without a valid purchase. You are responsible for how you use exported files, including applications to employers.

PerfectCV, including its name, logos, software, templates, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or internal professional job-search purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain rights in the content you submit (such as your work history and uploaded CVs). You grant PerfectCV a license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service, including generating tailored drafts. You may use CVs and letters you create with PerfectCV for your own job applications.

You may not:

• reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service;
• use the Service to create misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent application materials;
• resell, sublicense, or publicly redistribute our templates as a competing product;
• abuse the affiliate program, including self-referrals or fake conversions;
• upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.

We aim to keep PerfectCV available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate operation. Maintenance, outages, third-party failures (including AI, hosting, or payment providers), and force majeure events may affect the Service. Features may be added, limited, or withdrawn.

You may stop using your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a security, legal, or fraud risk. We may also discontinue the Service with reasonable notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, subject to any non-waivable rights you have in your own content.

PerfectCV is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that using PerfectCV will lead to interviews, offers, or employment, or that AI output will be complete or correct.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PerfectCV and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunity, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to PerfectCV for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you have not paid.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of PerfectCV after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
